INTRODUCTION to TUNISIAN CROCHET
Supplies: Crochet hook size K or larger. Long handled Tunisian hook is suggested but not required. These are available in some local yarn stores, and some craft stores such as JoAnn's or Michael's. Three or more yarns, sport weight, DK weight or lighter.
NO HOMEWORK!

TERRIFIC TRIMS
Supplies: 3 or more partial balls of yarn, the same weight as your homework swatch. Needles to use with these yarns, cable needle and basic knitting supplies.
HOMEWORK:
Cast on 20 sts and knit a square in Stst. Do not bind off.

LOG CABIN QUILT BLOCKS
NOW MORNING SESSION
Supplies: A group of light colored yarns that go together (for example, a group of light green and light blue yarns) and a group of dark colored yarns that go well with the light contrasting colored yarn to use for the center square (see homework). Traditionally, this is a red, dark red or rust color but you can choose whatever pleases you. All of these yarns should be fairly close to the same weight; worsted or DK weight is recommended. Needles to use with these yarns and basic knitting supplies.
HOMEWORK: Using the contrast color yarn from the supply list, cast on 12 sts an knit 24 rows in garter st (12 ridges). Bind off.

UNIQUE MODULAR SHAPES
NOW AFTERNOON SESSION
Supplies: 4 or more balls of yarn, same weight, various colors. Partial balls are fine, and hand dyed yarns work well.
