The need for hats and scarves for these homeless teens is tremendous. We have kids living on the streets in 30-40 degree nights. Any pattern can be used for the hats and scarves but it is suggested that bulky yarn be used for warmth and large needles be used so more hats can be knit quickly. Instructions are available at each guild meeting or contact Arlene Shaposhnick for emailed copies.
Philanthropy also has note cards available at all meetings to attach to knitted items to add a message of love or encouragement.
